Make It Monday :: Letter to my Valentine

While Emma is away, You have Stephanie from Toastie Studio stopping in with a special Valentines tutorial.
You may remember back in December, Emma shared a lovely tutorial to make a felt "Letter to Santa" envelope.
Today we are using the same idea but to make a felt "Letter to my Valentine" envelope!

Materials:
White Felt
Hot Pink Embroidery Floss
Heart Button
Tracing Paper

We are going to use the same template that Emma created for the Letter to Santa.
Click on the images below to enlarge them and print them off.

Step One
Instead of tracing the "Letter to Santa" write the name of your valentines onto the tracing paper. Pin the tracing paper onto the back piece of envelope.
Using 3 strands of embroidery floss, backstitch the lettering. When finished tear away the tracing paper (you may need some tweezers for any tiny bits left behind.)

Step Two
Turn the envelope over, and place the other part of the envelope on top and pin together.
Using 3 strands of embroidery floss, blanket stitch around the whole edge of the envelope (including the flap).

Step Three
To finish the envelope, take a pink heart button, and stitch it onto the front flap of the envelope.

You can also make this with red felt and white floss, or any colour! And now you just need to make a cute card for your Valentine to go inside it.
